Privacy Policy

Final Gravity ("the app") is an iPhone and iPad app for tracking homebrew batches. This policy describes how your information is handled when you use the app and when you visit this website.
Summary
- Your brewing data — batches, gravity readings, notes, and recipes — is synced via your personal iCloud account. Final Gravity does not operate its own servers and cannot access your data.
- The app does not require an account or any sign-in.
- The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data so I can understand how the app is used and improve it. This data does not identify you personally.
- Final Gravity does not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Your brewing data and iCloud
All brewing data you enter — batch names, ingredients, gravity readings, ABV calculations, fermentation notes, and any other records — is stored in your personal iCloud account and synced across your devices using Apple's iCloud infrastructure. This means your data is available on any iPhone or iPad signed in with the same Apple ID.
Final Gravity does not operate its own servers and cannot access your iCloud data. Your data is stored under your Apple ID, and Apple's privacy practices govern how it is handled. See Apple's Privacy Policy and iCloud security overview.
You can manage or delete your iCloud data at any time in Settings → [your name] → iCloud on your device.
Analytics
Final Gravity uses Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) to collect anonymous information about how the app is used — for example, which screens are viewed and which features are used most. This data helps me prioritize improvements and fix issues.
Firebase Analytics does not collect your brewing data, batch names, notes, or any content you enter. The data collected is aggregated and does not personally identify you.
Google's privacy practices apply to data processed by Firebase. See Firebase Privacy and Security and Google's Privacy Policy.
You can limit ad tracking on your iPhone or iPad in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and review analytics data sharing options in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
No account required
Final Gravity does not require you to create an account or sign in. No email address, name, or other personal details are collected by the app at sign-up, because there is no sign-up.
This website
This marketing site is static and does not embed third-party advertising trackers. Your browser may connect to service providers (such as whoever hosts this site or Google Fonts) as part of delivering the page; those providers may process basic connection data such as your IP address according to their own policies.
Children
Final Gravity is intended for adults who brew alcoholic beverages. The app is not directed at children under the age of 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the app changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects any substantive edits. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
